Today, we would like to share some MAINTENANCE & SERTILIZATION of DUS-2A Ultrasonic Scaler to you!
STERILIZATION OF THE HANDPIECE
a) Autoclave Sterilization is recommended
b) Autoclave Sterization required first time you use and after each patient as noted below.Take handpiece out of packing bag before sterilization.
c) ONLY Handpiece, Tip, Tip wrench, Endo Wrench can be autoclaved.
d) tips and wrench all the tips and the wrench can be sterilized under the high temperature and pressure.
e) Cleaning of tips and wrench (Fix Handpiece) the tips and wrench can be cleaned by ultrasonic cleaner.
f) Detachable handpiece
The degree of temperature/pressure autoclaved:
121 /1 bar(0.1MPa)
135 /2.2 bar(0.22MPa)
g) Autoclave Procedure Remove the Tip after use.(Refer to Mounting and Removing Tip)
Wipe dirt and debris from the products, and wipe clean with alcohol-immersed cotton swab or cloth. Do not use a wire brush.
Insert those into the autoclave pouch. Seal the pouch.
Keep the products in the autoclave pouch to keep it clean until you use it.
NOTICE
Before the sterilization, please dry out all the Disinfection liquid on the handpiece.
During the sterilization process please release the scaler tip from the handpiece, do not sterilize the scaler tip together with other instrument.
Please check whether the handpiece's exterior has been damaged during the operation or sterilization. Don’t smear any protective oil on the surface of handpiece.
There are two waterproof O rings at the end of the handpiece.
Please lubricate them with dental lube frequently, as sterilization and pulling and inserting repeatedly will reduce their life-span.
Change it once it is damaged or worn excessively.
The following sterilizing methods are forbidden:
1) Boiled in liquid.
2) Dip in disinfector such as iodine, alcohol and glutaraldenhyde
3) Baked in the normal oven or microwave oven.
STERILIZATION OF THE SCALER TIP
Scaler tips can be both sterilized by alcohol or autoclave
STERILIZATION OF ENDO WRENCH
Torque Wrench can be sterilized both by autoclave or Disinfection liquid
The following sterilizing methods are forbidden:

2) Dip in disinfector such as iodine, alcohol and glutaraldenhyde
3) Baked in the normal oven or microwave oven.
CLEANING OF TORQUE WRENCH AND SCALER TIP
The torque wrench and sclaer tips can be cleaned by ultrasonic cleaning machine.
