Bur comes off

* Exceeds maximum speed allowance of the bur in use.

Use within rotation speed allowance.

Clean up chuck’s inside using Pana Spray Plus and see if the problem is solved. If the same problem still occurs, replace the cartridge.

* The bur in use is chipped or shaft is worn out.

Replace the bur with a new one.

* The bur is not properly locked in chuck.

Check if the bur is securely locked by giving pull-and-push test.

Would not rev up

*Bearing is contaminated with foreign particles or worn out.Also lack of maintenance can be a cause.

Clean up with Pana Spray Plus and see if the problem is solved. If the same problem still occurs, replace the cartridge. Or Refer to your operation manual for further details on maintenance and lubricate thoroughly.

Abnormal noise

*Bearing is contaminated with foreign particles or worn out. Also lack of maintenance can be a cause.

Unusual vibration

*Bearing is contaminated with foreign particles or worn out. Also lack of maintenance can be a cause.

Weaker torque

*Bearing is contaminated with foreign particles or worn out. Also lack of maintenance can be a cause.

Heat generation at the head

*Bearing is contaminated with foreign particles or worn out. Also lack of maintenance can be a cause.

Irregular irrigation

*Clogged with foreign particles.

Blow air into irrigation opening. Or clean up the opening with an attached maintenance needle.
If problem is not solved, contact your NSK distributor.

*Leakage somewhere in water supply line.

Check under the work table to see if the joint of handpiece and hose or hose and console is properly connected.

*Insufficient water supply.

Check your console whether water pressure is set at proper value.

Hard to remove a bur

*Insufficient stroke of push button from wear of head cap’s inner wall.

Replace the head cap. Be sure not to touch the push button until the turbine stops completely.

*The bur is clutching onto chuck.

Contact your NSK distributor.

Would not light up (For optic handpiece only)

*The fiber (glass rod) may be damaged.

Contact your NSK distributor.

*Light bulb is burned out.

Remove coupling joint from the handpiece and see if lamp in coupling joint lights up. If not, replace the lamp.
